Dad "gave" me his 1970 F250 when I was 12. 360 w/ 4bbl, ford-o-matic, dual eshaust, posi rear.. nothing stopped her....except when I took the keys and buried her axle deep in the side yard. I noted the posi because of the two distinct splatters of mud on the side of the shed. :-) That was the very first new vehicle he and mom ever bought. Paid $3250 in 1970...sold in 1986 for $2650....only had 76000 miles!
In 1984 (I was 11) dad bought a used (only 7000 miles) Bronco II to commute from Jersey to DE for work. Mom and dad gave it to me when I turned 17. It had around 75000 miles and was on the 2nd v6...I fixed that, though....more later...
In 1989 Dad bought his 2nd new vehicle...1989 Bronco XLT. 302, AOD, homemade ram-air system, underdrive pulleys, dual exhaust. After dad died, I drove it until mom sold it in 2001.
In 1996 I bought a '91 Taurus SHO...5 speed...loved that car, but was starting to nickle and dime me...
Traded for a used '99 F150(with only 2400 miles) Dark blue XL 4x4 step-side. v-6, 5spd. Basic truck, and I would have kept it but it didn't like 16 ft lumber....for some reason I couldn't keep the front wheels on the ground..... traded with 47000 miles for my current ride....2003 F250 Reg cab 4x4. Sonic blue (the color does grow on you). 5.4 with K&N FIPK and dual exhaust. Other than that, pretty stock for now.
Sorry to be long winded...your question brought back some memories....
In summary:
1970 F250
1984 Bronco II (now with 302v8, aod tranny)
1989 Bronco
1991 Taurus SHO
1999 F150 XL 4x4, v6 5spd
and finally, 2003 F250 4x4 Reg cab. (my divorce gift to myself!)

When I was 14 I bought an 87 Bronco II, then I got an87 F150 right before I turned 16, I flipped it about a year and a half later. Then I got a 97 F150, then 2 years ago I got my current truck, 05 F250. I bought a 79 F250 awhile back to fix up, but I was running low on money and had to sell it for scrap.
so that makes 5 in all.
