Internet search tip for hard to find parts
|
I'm sure that many of you have already discovered this little trick for finding parts on the internet, but here goes. Try typing in the first 4 "part number" digits, of the part you are looking for, on any search engine (e.g. C8UB or C8UZ).
Since a lot of the "obsolete parts" companies are now posting their inventory online, you may stumble onto your part on their site. Typing in more than the first 4 digits may give you trouble since a lot of the sites I've found may, or may not, use spaces in the part number.
I've found a quite a few sites that have some small parts for my 74 E-100 this way.
