The stage was set for this long before Ford made what appear to be some good management changes, give it time.

Ford said and im hoping that they will turn around and that these record breaking losses will be a one time thing because they had to make certain purchases and readjustments whether that is true i guess only time will tell, it'll be interesting to see what they say one year from now.
Almost 10billion of that is restructuring costs. Don't expect to see profits until at least '09. It appears that the new management is heading in the right direction though.

What do you suggest? They can't sell Jaguar because nobody wants to buy it.
That's not quite true...one Chinese company is interested, if the "price" is right.
I have not seen one local Jag dealer run anything besides a 1/16 page ad in the past several years.
No ads, no sales.
Jaguar has not been a force in the Southern California market since the 1970's, and at one time, this was Jags biggest sales success outside of the UK.
Making Jag a success again here can be described in two words: Im Possible.
So, what the answer?
Spend another billion dollars for minimal sales gains?
Or cut the losses and dump it?
Guess what I would do!
