Unhappy exhaust plug in head

Ok all i got a really stupid qiestion. how much force dose it take to blow one out of a head? not the screw in type but the punch in one. I was running my truck one day and it got loud all of a sudden (thought i blew a collector gasket ),well turned out one of the exhaust plugs blew the one on the drivers side rear of the motor. i am in the process of trying to replace it removing the engine from the truck. I tried pulling it in with a bar clem on the motor dosent work so far. any idea would be greatly appricated.

I cut a small hole in my firewall and replaced it thru the hole. When the engine comes out I will replace it with a screw in plug.
