There's alot of chebbies and dodges running around here with 6-8" lifts not sure body or suspension and then they have only 33" tires on it. Then i look at my Hiboy with 35's and shake my head and laugh.

I hope they make those OKC boys pay for the cost of the rescue... The taxpayers should not have to fund that idiocy.

Yer right.

Last year there were some guys out on a floating chunk of ice on Erie, I believe. They rescued 'em then caught 'em later trying to retrieve their sno'biles or quads over planks (no, it was plywood) back to solid ice.

'Nother guy, older guy too, ice fisherman, rescued so many times they decided to charge 'im (either a fine or for the service, don't remember which).

many years ago - i CONSIDERED buying a chevy (i know - i know - and i come from a ford family) but when it came time to 'make the deal' the salesman left the room and came back with 'the boss' - he took one look @ me and my girlfriend and said "alright, lets get your dad on the phone" - i was 30 @ the time. i walked out...and a week later bought an '00 mustang GT loaded with leather everything - basically sight unseen over the phone...ford has always been good to me...and i like the color blue A LOT more than yellow.

This thread is killing me I used to own a chevy K2500. It was a decent truck, but I can't tell you how many times I got the "oh, its not a Z71" treatment. Well, retards, it had everything a Z71 has but the sticker.

I am much happier now with my ford, which incidently, also isn't a Z71

Got aother dumb story.... Kid at school thinks he nows every thing about engines and trucks and stuff. I used to think e actualy new somthing until he told me that he adjusted the timing on his banshee (for those who dont no thats a 2 stroke). LMFAO anyways his brother does actualy no stuff about trucks and hes a big time mud head. So we was out playn one day and the dumb one trys to tell me that it doesnt matter how good of tires you got if you got the Hp you can go through it. (get serius). First of all if you cant get the power to the ground then it does no good. So two engines and new set of tires later i think he learned his lesson.

superduty, you can time a 2 stroke, you just have to get an adjustable timing plate if it doesnt have one.

Ahh, you beat me too it. I just got building a new 550cc for my 79 kawasaki jet ski, and it has slots in the stator so you can ajust the timing and thats stock. I bumbed it up just a tad.

the crazy thing about the Z-71 is this, for thoes who dont know the origan the "Z" came out in 1967 in the prototype camero, the first production runs of 1968 cameros were either 283's or the bigger 302 (no typo) the GM 302 block was a .060 over 283 V8. either engine could be mated to a TH350 3 speed auto or PowerGlide 2 speed auto, the Z-28, was developed by Rally Sports in 1968 and the first Z-28's were 4 speeds with the "New" 327 small block. this was the first Gen Camero Z-28 drag car. the next year the first Camero SS with a 396 Bigh Block and a 4 speed came out.

the Z Emblem was a desgnation of a race car, the ones on the trucks are just for sales

My buddy always called the newer z28s zippy 2.8Ls
It pissied off the rich kids at the drags that were too afraid to do a heads up race with his torino.
