"Thump" Sound

my dad has a 2003 F150 SuperCrew. Shortly after he got ne tires we heard and felt a thump while driving. We went back to sears and got a new tire put on where we thought the sound was coming from (from left) still no difference. Is it possible its a CV shaft? or possibly the rear tires? You hear it the most when turning towards the right. The feeling and sound seems to resinate from the front left or the truck. Any suggestions? Possibly a bizzre coinsidence? Dont know but the thump is REALLY annoying LOL so were trying to pin point it. Thanks!

What size tires? larger then the old ones u had on? could be rubbing the mud flaps or lower control arms/sway bar....

Check your shocks?

Believe it or not, I had a Ranchero go on my 2002 FX4. It just rusted and snapped off. It made a good thump when I hit bumps. I think that they should last longer than 4.5 years, but who am I to say.

The only time I've heard that was if there was a flat spoton the tire, or if the were not balanced properly.

do you notice any pulsation in the brake pedal? How about a shimmy in the steering? It is possible that they did not install the rim evenly or securely. However for them to replace the tire and it happen again ....slim. Unless they are not working on the correct tire. If you are sure it was fine prior to the tires, ask them to remove them, rebalance them and insure they are on different locations of the vehicle. Also how BIG is the thump?

Where do you feel the thump the most? (floor/ pedals/ steering/ etc.)
