The local Ford dealer informed me today that I could order a 2008 6.4L PSD next week.

I'm SERIOUSLY debating on it...

Only thing is, I don't know if I should wait for them to get one on the lot and drive it, or wait a little longer for them to get the quirks out of 'em...

I will get the biggest bumper-to-bumper warranty I can, though.

I'm taking a poll to see what you folks are planning on doing.

One thing I didn't ask the dealer, though... When will they be delivered?

They have been available to order since November I think. Definitely since December when the first were built. So you need a choice for already ordered. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago. F350 KR CC SRW 4X4 LB. No idea on delivery yet tho.

 

Hmm... That's interesting. They said they're starting orders next week. Oh wellio.

I don't figure they'll arrive until at least June or so. If that's the case, I think I'll settle for an F-150. Don't know if I want to wait that long. lol.

What was the MSRP of your truck, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm thinking of an XL F-250 regular cab 4x4.

MSRP of 55k and some change Invoice of 49579 my price 49379, this has all the options except navigation, traction control and rear seat entertainment.

Last I heard they had the lots at the Kentucky Truck Plant full just waiting to ship. The dealer I ordered from said that they had a few ordered that were already built they were waiting for them to ship. So I don't think you will need to wait until June. Hopefully they will start showing up at the dealers in the next month.

I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow and see if they have any info.

If it's going to be within the next month or two, I'm going to wait until the dealer gets one for me to take fer a spin.

Local dealer here in CT says they have 4 ordered for general sale but they dont know when they will be delivered. I will wait till mid Feb to order my f-450 cab and chassis, also dealer said that ford basically told them to order the ford. im sure they need the publicity also but i wonder what they will do with all those 2007's

 

According to Ford's press release of the 19th, they are expecting them to be on dealer lots in February. Now does this mean February 1st or the 28th?

I ordered Dec 21st.. with a Dealer stated built date of 2-12 and a delivery of 2 weeks after that?? We shall see.....

Ordered mine on November 27, built Jan 8. According to the latest info in the Ford computer (supplied by a gracious FTE member), delivery scheduled for Jan 29.

According to the Chrome pricing tool on another post, $51k invoice $57k sticker for a nearly loaded KR dually.

I'm still debating on to order an '08 or see if I can steal a '07 off the lot. I'm looking to get a F-450 with a 14' flatbed. I'll stick to the diesel engine regardless. Either way I go I'm gonna have a PTO unit installed to power my pressure washer.

If I can't get a left over '07 then I'll wait to see if they have any problems with the '08s before I order. Last thing I need is to have a brand new truck sitting at the dealership broke down while my work is stacking up on me.

I'm waiting to see them on the dealer lot and take a test drive. However, I'm about 90% sure I'll buy one.
