Air cleaner PN #1HA-9600-B1

Can someone clarify me as to the possible use of air cleaner 1HA-9600-B1 on a 1947 V8 pickup, w/ a Holley 94 carb on?

1HA sounds like the air cleaner for a flathead 6 cylinder. I'm not sure if the neck diameter of the 6 and 8 cyl carbs are the same, so I'm not sure if it'll work on an 8 cyl.
