Batch fire vs sequential?

Speed density trucks were all batch fired, while the newer mass air equipped trucks got sequential injection. Like Lxman said, batch fire injection is where there are two groups of four injectors (three on an inline six) where each batch is fired once per engine revolution. Sequential injects fuel precisely for each cylinder as the intake valve opens.

Ok, I seem to understand now. but it also seems I should have put more information in the question. The vehicle in question is a 1990 Ford Ranger with a 4.0l V6. Now, Just to make sure I understand this, the injectors on a batch fired engine such as I have, fire in groups. Mine, more than likely, would fire one bank per revolution?
