70-71 Chero questions from a new owner

Well, I came across this site a couple of years ago when I bought my 66 F-100 and I have been lurking in the 61-66 section ever since. I have learned a great bit from a lot of guys over there. After stumbling across a 70 Ranchero this past weekend, I again have some questions that I hope somebody here might be able to help me with. Lets start with the most pressing problem: Rust. I've seen where some of the parts companies carry the floor pans but this one has rusted through in the pans up in the little "cubby hole" behind the seat (you know, where the spare tire sets) Does anyone carry these? I need both sides. If not, has anyone had success replacing them with repro pans from some other car? I work at a Mustang parts dealer and I was looking at our floor pan selection today but I really didn't see much that looked very similar. I was also looking for feedback from anyone who has patched their quarter panel with the repro quarter panel patches that are available out there. (i.e. how was the quality of the panel, how well did it fit?) Another issue that I need to fix is the moldings. Does anyone make the drip rail moldings? (the passenger side is pretty beat up) In the same vein, does anyone make the bed moldings (mine have the snaps on them for a cover) I haven't seen any advertised but I thought I would ask. Anyone have any ideas where to look or who to contact that might have some of the moldings used? (I live in NC) My last inquiry, is about the hash marks and gt letters on the quarters of the 70 models. I definately want to add these to my 70 and I wondered if anyone out there could give me some measurements (kind of like a template) as to where they are mounted on their truck. I'm sorry for all of the questions at once but you know how you are when you first start on a project, a million questions all searching for answers. I'm glad to finally have a Chero again. I missed my 73 GT ever since I sold it back in '92. I wasn't really even looking for this 70 model that dropped into my lap this weekend but I thought it would make a nice one with a little TLC. Not to mention it looks good sitting next to my 70 Torino station wagon! (yes, I have to many vehicles) Ok, I've rambled on long enough. If anyone out there can help me with any answers to my questions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and have a great day!!! Chris

You can find bed trim on eBay. Here is a link to a site with many Ranchero and Torino parts: http://www.papro.com/torino.htm I have bought parts from him. His name is Larry. He knows alot about Torinos and Rancheros.

Another sight with alot of ranchero info is http://www.ranchero.us/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

I also need floor pans for my Ranchero. Are they available?
