Engine-Builder help needed...
Hey guys...I'm looking at getting a '48-'50 ford Truck project, and am researching replacement hi-po engines.
I'm looking at various turn-key's, or at least long-blocks (I'm pretty decided on a stroker based on a 351 Windsor) from various shops, and wanted to get any input on a few shops, and their reputations.
The first 6 are e-bay stores...
pattersonengines
phoenix engines
Tuff Dawg engines
the Motor shop inc.
T&L Engine Development
Fantasy Engines and Parts
then there are...
purechoicemotorsports.com
and finally...
barnetthighperformance.com
Thanks for any help!!

Man...a lot has changed in the last 10 years that I've been obsessed with air-cooled Volkswagens...but it's all coming back to me, slowly but surely.
I'm just now in the final stages of parts-gathering for the 2110cc stroker VW motor that's going in my '60 crew-cab...I think I've got about 12 grand in that truck so far, and the average person that saw it would think it's 2 steps away from the junkyard! lol.
I must be nuts for even considering another "project" lol!!
