That’s a great video. Did you see the spot on aftermarket programmers and modifications? Looks like they are going to be pretty strict on aftermarket products on these trucks.

 

From what I hear, the strictness is because of EPA regulations. I would bet it is also to save Ford's butt about warranty repairs as well though.

 

Very nice, thats all fords gotta do for there new Commercial for 2007 have a minite long video of all the new F-series towing hauling more pay load then the other trucks can handle period.

 

You cant do anything to this engine,wonder how long it will take Ford to figure out there losing ground to the "other 2" beacuse you cant modify the 6.4?Just glad I have a 6.0 that can waste that truck at everything.Oh and it looks horrable to. This really hurts,I have been a Ford guy all my life but there is no way I would buy a 08'

 

Im sure you can modify it, but now the programmers need to lose their footprint.

 

to tell you the truck... i really dident like the way the truck looks... it will grow on me i bet..... BUT this video isent makeing me like the new truck at all...

I would go with the 07, but I'm curious as to what scared you away from the 08?

 

What scares me away is thoes damn headlights.If the aftermarket can make a Dodge look somewhat ok,then Im sure they can do something with this thing.Also they are putting more and more stuff on these things,they need this much power just to move around the 2500 lbs. of B S electronics you dont need seat warmers,steering wheel warmers,door handle warmers,who knows what they will option this out with? But that data logger to look for mods,thats just over the line,I can see them trying to lookout for the warranty,but come on

 

i think these trucks only look really good with the 450 flares on it and dually,

 

this new truck is like scary... so much stuff on it... and hey im only 18 and i like new stuff... all computer controled and all.. but so much stuff to go wrong... and it seems like to have to change each thing on this thing at 10k miles....

the front bumper i do not like...

headlights are not all that good looking...

but then again i need to see one in person

 

If i did get a 08 i hope that once they make a tuner for this motor you can turn off all the bs stuff so you can run after market stuff... But i have a feeling this motor can make so much power that it will brake its own parts... maybe thats why they dont want people useing them.

 

That weird looking dual tip is a working device? That Kind of sux, I like my 5" tip on my 6.0. I hope you can get some big diesel sound out of these things.

 

well ...... my opinion is Ford has made it clear. When you buy one of these trucks you don't really own it because you can't do or change anything on it without voiding your warranty.

I've learned that I won't buy one of these suckers for sure. They've got so much crap on this diesel it's rediculous. I bet it's going to be another 6.0L fiasco.
