Newbie...
Hello all. I'm new here and thought I would say hello. My name is Josh, I currently have an F100 project. It's a frankentruck....a '75 factory AC cab and front clip on a '69 frame with a flat bed. It has bent beams, lift coils and dual front shocks for a 4" lift, 390fe/4 speed, a true 1 ton Dana 70 rear (w/ the LARGE drums) with a posi. UGLY but fun would best describe it.
I worked at Autofab for several years and have been around late 60's - early 90's Ford trucks all of my life. It has been a long time dream of mine to be able to build a decent off road for myself, and it seems my time has come.
Plans are basically to make it my fun desert truck. Right now it's up on blocks all the way around and is getting stripped down to bare frame for a good cleaning and painting. I will be cleaning and freshening up the 390 and building a C6. I'll be gutting the already unusable interior in favor of a custom interior which includes two buckets, 4 point harness', custom guages and upholstery. I'll need to figure out how to finagle a '73/later bed on the '69 frame and match the body lines....but nothing's impossible.....
Stay tuned, I'll create a gallery soon and post up picks of where I started and progress as it happens.
