Saskatoon Farm Toy Show Jan. 12, 13 & 14
It`s at the WDM...Western Developement Museum on Lorne Ave.
A great show with lots of models, everything from farm, car/truck models and construction equipment.
I go every year and usually the first nite is the best selection.
And usually it`s this COLD!

Rodder41 Never been to that toy show. Allways wanted to check it out though. Is there an admission fee Mo?
Almost free, I think it`s around $3, now is the time to go. I don`t know if I`ll feel like it with the flu for tonite or not.
I`ll go sometime as I never miss it.

We only one such show a year too so I try to never miss it. We have other hobby shows but their mostly guns and crafts so I don`t really care much about these.
We have Pionera Days here with antique tractors, steam tractor & threshing displays, blacksmithing, draft horses & horse wagon rides and antique machinery displays.
Of course lots of great food and friends to meet with!
With -30 that sounds great right now for summer and this activity.....

I went this afternoon, flu or no flu and there were some pretty expensive tractors there.
I noticed one 730 JD at almost $300 and alot of diecast car models at over $100 but most were under $100.
Ended up buying another Ford GT (40), this time a red/white stripes. I have an orange/white stripes but I like this much better as it`s alot nicer looking.

I`m not aware of any about plasitc model kit shows in this area but there maybe some.
The diecasts probably killed these off as they are close to the same money being very nicely done with no messing with glue and paint.
The $3-500 tractors aren`t on my list at this price. I prefer to stick with the Ford car and truck models, mostly 30`s to the 60`s.
I`m running out of room for a display area, I think I have around 250-300 diecast models.
I did pick up another 53 Ford tow truck today plus another very nicely detailed Ford GT (40), this time in red with white stripes to go with the other one in orange with white stripes.

That toy show sounds quite interesting.
When our son was a little tyke he used to collect car models, the little metal ones. He still has them and although he has packed them away, he will save them for the time when he may have a son.
The models were metal and some of the nicest were Ertl. He has tractors, muscle cars, a variety of trucks, some vintage, lots of different toy brands. He has well over a 100. Some of them were larger scale, some smaller.
When I was about 4-5 my Father made me an Esso garage out of wood. He was quite a talented amateur carpenter and I recall the garage door was made of wood and glass and would go up and down, there was a showroom, with two metal (good sized) Hudson Hornet cars. Never did know if they were Twin H Powered.
We gave it to a younger cousin, wished we had kept it for my son.

Hi and welcome aboard Corgihead, great to meet you!
Where are you located in Sk and any idea of when you might get a Ford truck?
I am sort of a collector too with afew hundred Mustang, Ford truck diecast models.
There aren`t many toy shows in Saskatoon, one of the main ones is this one at the Western Development Museum in Jan., watch here in this chapter as well as in the papers for the info.
Be sure to join our humble chapter soon.
