53-54 F100 Instrument cluster

I am restoring a 53-54 F-100 Instrument cluster that had the trim around it painted. It appears that the trim is stainless. can anyone tell me if this trim bezel is polished or painted? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Barry

In my '53 it's painted, but it's as bone stock as you can get from the factory, this thing is so stock it doesn't even have a hole for the heater!
Anyhow, the original exterior was seafoam green, as with the interior. I would think the bezel would be polished, if it were a custom?

Hope this helped ya'!

PS. Somebody did a spray can job on the interior, I guess they like red more than the green, but I still think that bezel was painted if it were a stock truck, and nothing special.
