2bbl vs 4bbl on 351w

hey all, just wanted to ask something. I have a 351w in an 87 f150 4x4. The motor isnt originaly from this truck. It has some upgrades, cam, bored over .030. Now, it has a factory intake on it that I found out was cast in 1973 and a new stock 2bbl carb. I just want to know if it would be worth it to buy an aftermarket intake and 4bbl carb or just leave it alone, or could i fit just the 4bbl carb on my stock intake? How much could i expect to gain? Would the money be worth it for the performance gain, and would my gas mileage be any worse than it already is? The truck is a daily driver and I do not use it for towing, or any hard work really. Thanks.

with a properly tuned 600 cfm 4bbl it should get better mileage and have more power, I'd guess 20 hp or so
