1955 Ford F-100 "Value"
I have the opportunity to purchase a 1955 Ford F-100 and I am trying to determine a “fair” price. Here is an overview on the truck condition. The truck has no motor, drive train, or bed. The driver side window is missing, the passenger side window is cracked, and the windshield is “smoky” and needs new weather stripping. The rear window is fine. The body is in good condition except for a small nickel size rust-through hole where the running board attaches to the rear fender. The outside of the truck was sandblasted and coated with a single layer of primer. The wheel wells and underneath have surface rust. The doors open and close rough. The floorboards and the battery tray are in good condition. The hood is from a 1956 Ford F-100 and opens and closes very roughly. Is there any difference, besides the emblems, from a 1955 and 1956 hood?
If anybody has an idea on how much a truck like this is worth, please let me know.
Thank you
