Is Texas considered a "green state"? If so that is probably the reason.

Eddie Yaklin Ford: F-250 4x4 Crew Long Box XLT White/Tan - MSRP $40,485

I hope that helps you out. If you go to www.fordvehicles.com and use the "find a local dealer" section, you can search each dealers inventory.

Good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for.

90% of all SuperDuty trucks in Texas are PSD because:

Suburbanite macho factor

Mine is bigger n yours factor

Dealer profit margin is better

The V10 is considered a SVT racing motor and most work truck buyers do not want anything to do with a 1 ton "Lightning" dually

The V10 fresh from the factory is a very tight motor and does not develop all of it's power potential until 8~12K miles or about 150 hours are on the clock... this makes folks who test drive a new one think that they are a gas hog dog motor. Initially this is true

There is a "common wisdom" bias toward the diesel because of perceived higher resale value and the beefier motor has a longer service life... both notions are true if you tend to own trucks longer then 8~9 years

All these factors make finding a V10 SuperDuty on a dealer lot very hard.... I don't even search any more...just walk in and place a "Build it for me" order

I can agree with that. I live in VA and there were no V10's anywhere that had what I wanted. I built and ordered mine from the factory. I ordered Dec 19th. Should be at the dealer mid Feb. 2008 F250 V10 auto, crew cab, short bed, 4.3 gears, tow command system, reverse aid sensor, rear dvd for the kids,etc... My dealer said I would be one of the first to get an 08. Waiting on pins and needles.

Cost of my 08

I got EVERYTHING I wanted including rear DVD, for under 40k. 39k and some change. I did not get the four wheel drive, but the tow options, V10, privacy glass, rear aid sensor, tow command, upgraded tires and wheels, chrome step bars, fog lamps, driver and passengers power seats, stabilizer package. etc.. Dealer said I would get the available rebates at delivery, so that should nock off another 3k. So about 37 to 38 after all the other taxes and tags etc.
