@sanders46- Thanks for posting your pics. Perfect. Simple, strong, all business. This is the exact set-up I'm planning on. Looks right for a country man to grind up some dirt, rocks, mud, and snow bow hunting in the Blue Ridge of Virginia this fall!

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I like the old school fat Mickeys. The 20" busy looking, bright chrome hoopies with rubber band tires just makes my eyeballs hurt. No offense to the younger crowd... every generation has their thing!

I fully agree. I prefer 18 or 20 inch rims on a truck. 37s are a great size for summer.

I definitely prefer a combination that still has plenty of sidewall.

I could easily fit 24 or 26s on my truck but there would be no rubber. 18s seem like the perfect rim size for 39s. Lots of MEAT!

Screwed up my photo-link, so re-posting here.............

Here is my F250, aka "Moby Dick" at work......

Click the image to open in full size.

5 in. lift up front (3 in. leafs, 1 in. shackle, and 1 in. block).
3 in lift on rear (5 in. block).

Centerline 16.5 x 10 w/Goodyear Military OZ 37x12.5x16.5, w/2 spares.

Going to move rear section of exhaust to try to get 37 in. spare underneath.

I do nearly 300 miles per month off road for work. 37s made a huge difference off road ! 37s dont like to go to much over 65 mph, but putting them on gave me nearly 1.5 mpg better milage on hwy. Running 4.30 factory gears. Final drive with 37s is about 3.66

I am planning on lifting it another in. because the front tires rub on the backside of the front wheel well.

Those Humvee 37in used Goodyear tires are fantastic. I have well over 12K on a used set and they are still going strong. The UV inhibitor in the rubber is making them last a really long time. The pair I have on the rear are 15 years old ! The front pair are 7 years old !

One thing I would like to do is to swap out the Dana 50 in front for a Dana 60, then add a limited slip differential. That would give me limited slip front and rear. That makes a huge difference off road.

Try it here!

I posted this over on the 6L Diesel side but after finding this thread I think you guys on this thread can perhaps help as well...

When I bought my truck it already had a 6" lift on it with 37x13.5-20's. It drives strait as an arrow and tows my 8K with ease.

However the coil springs they used are hard as a rock (no idea what brand they are). So I'm wondering if any one has used Skyjacker Soft Ride coils on theirs? Or any "Soft Ride" coils and have a softer ride.

The Skyjackers are relatively inexpensive at $224 for a pair of them and very easy to install (just some time) but I wonder if they are truly a softer ride. Skyjacker claims they are but I was hoping to get an opinion from anyone that has actually tried them.
