I did my Viair 10007 install just like Epic did. I didnt see any reason to change a set up that I felt was already perfected. I am sure you have seen his installs. That dude is one of the main reason I became such a huge fan of FTE. Here is the link for those needing to see how to install a air compressor on your truck and run it off a up fitter. I say again, Hats off to Epic for this install!!

I did change the location of the horns from his video, as I wanted the horns out front. You cant see them at all unless you really look for them or crawl under the truck. They are a bit more exposed to the elements but I just didnt want them under my butt when I blow the horn LOL. I used a piece of flat bar (2"x1/4"). Drilled 2 holes in the flat bar to mount it under the truck where the bottom of the brush guard bolts to the frame. Drilled holes in the flat bar to bolt the horns blowing out either side of the truck. Drilled holes to mount the solenoid in the center of the two horns. Mounted the flat bar with horns and solenoid to the underside of the brush guard and simply ran the air hose from the compressor to the front. Total install (Air compressor and horns) was about 2 hours if your drinking beer while installing. Here is a few pics of the finished product. They work great and are plenty loud.
A pic from the front.

A pic from inside the driver's side fender well (you can see the horn in front of the tire) The other side looks just the same for the 2nd horn.

A pic from under the truck where the install is.

And of course the air compressor under the rear passenger door as Epic did his.

I hope this helps!!

Rex the truck looks beautiful as usual, I can't get over how much I like it, haha. I love that brown and tan color. Those flares look great on it too. I like those horns. Did you use the same horns as the video? I like how those sound.

I was looking at getting these for my truck eventually, but I kind of like the ones you have now too.

Thanks for the complements. It really does mean a lot to get such great revues after putting in so much work on these trucks. One of the main reasons I love this place is the positive attitude and the willingness to be helpful from everybody here.

Yes I felt that Epic did so good on his video install, that there was zero reason to try and reinvent the wheel. If something works why not stay with it.

Thanks again for the kind words!
Looking forward to the next mod!

Will, how do you like the ride with the Rough Country kit? I'm looking into kits for my 08 5.4 for this summer and was gathering info. I'm looking for the 4"ish category and yours looks real nice.
