'65 Econo Van Shroud ?

I purchased a '65 van w/240 and it is missing the radiator fan and shroud(?). The manual states that there is an upper fan shroud. Does this really exist? Everyone I've asked said that there was no fan shroud on early Econolines. Could someone please clear this up for me? If there is such a shroud, could you please post or email me a picture? Thanks. Also, did it have a manual or clutch fan?

You've only seen one? Does that meand the shroud isn't necessary? I'm in Ontario, California. If you could find a picture, that would be great. Thanks.

there are thousands running around with out a shroud. very few have over heating problems, and it is uaually atributed to something else. [i.e. bad t stat, bad water pump, bad rad.]

i have had my pickup for years, [cant remember how long!] and it has never had a shroud. never had an overheating problem, but have definetly had a heating problem in the winter!

I bought a 67 Travel Wagon with a 240 and C4. 31000 Original miles. Got it from the kids of the original owner. They remembered camping in it in the 60s. Had been sitting in the old man's garage for at least a decade.

Everything in this van was original. I mean everything. Still have the water bottle for the sink. Still had the gas stove. Still had the original drapes. Still had all the hammocks. Decals were still on the engine and air cleaner.

It did not, and never did have, a shroud.
