New `07 - Aluminum Driveshaft?
Just traded in my `04 5.4 XLT for an `07 4.6 XLT and decided to take a peek under the truck. I was only partly surprised to see that Ford had switched to aluminum, and is now a 1 piece design instead of a 2 piece with a center bearing. At least I assume it`s aluminum - either that or I got the only Ford driveshaft with not a spot of rust. (actually took a magnet to it to check)
Anyone else out there with an `07 notice this?
BTW, the throttle response of my new `07 is better than my `04. It's especially noticeable from a start. In general the throttle lag seems greatly reduced.
