V-10 Straight Pipe?

I'm looking for a cheap/quick/easy way to add some noise to my truck. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? Should i buy a flowmaster and do a catback exhaust or str8 pipe it? 2007, V-10 ~Cheers~

The reason people straight pipe diesels is because the turbo adsorbs alotta of the noise. Straight piping a V10 would be cool for about a week and then would become unbearable, with every cop in sight pulling you over for a noise violation. Gas engines need a muffler.

What duffman77 said!!!

But...if you go with a FM muffler cat-back, then go with a 50 series...and you will have enough noise. Keep in mind that it will not sound like a V8...but more rice tuned.

The Cherry Bomb glasspack was recenty brought back, although I am not sure what a V-10 would sound like running them.

I agree... V10s sound the best with Flows. 40 series for a single exhaust and 50 series for duals.

There is a guy around here that has a Viper. He installed a catback system on it. It really does sound terrible.

Imagine a UPS truck that lost it's muffler.

I know the differenced between the 40 and the 50, but what do the duals change to make the 50 a better choice for the duals?

Here's a bit of advice on the exhaust question: Whatever you do, save the OEM system (it comes in 3-4 sections connected by the heavy clamps) because you will probably want to put it back on. I concur with the others that the V10 sounds totally unlike the V-8.
