I have a 57 312 intake ECZ I think. At the rear near the bottom by the exhaust crossover is a thing. It looks like a metallic mushroom. It is about the size of a quarter and about 3/4" tall. What is it?

I have the information I needed. It is a cover for the end of the choke tube. The tube can be sourced from T-Bird restorers. The cap itself prys out of the intake and is made of stamped and crimped metal. This Information was provided by Hoosier Hurricane. He races a McCulloch blown Ford Y-block and is very knowledgeable and fast!
