My 'trick' was to overclock the Opteron 165 from 1.8 to 2.85.

opteron is an AMD processer

I'll give you guys a couple tricks.
#1:use console version (so its always running)
~the console also doesnt draw pictures so it doesnt waste cpu cycles
#2:always run at 100% unless your computer is overheating (p4 reduce speed when they get hot)
#3: run as a windows service (so its always running even when you're not logged in, doesnt work in standby or hibernation)

Thats it, i have more complex ones that require going in the FAH program and tweaking it. Also take a guess as to who is #1 for FTE.

Not sure what happened - it gave me a WU and said it would take 35 mins.. it counted down and when I went back - it was gone and I had a new one with a WU end 19 Nov 09... but no credit for the one it had just finished...I don't care about the credit, but what happened to the WU just finished???

I believe stanford updates its stats page every hour. Also sometimes the folding client cant upload the finished WU so it stores it and downloads a new one, later on it uploads the old WU to stanford.

I've been folding for about 5 or so years and i used to belong to a computer forum where they knew alot of tweaks for this program. Stanford's program is very reliable but there are options built into it that allow an advanced user to modify in order to get the most from their system.
