jim, how big are your working units? what are your system specs?
did you download the version with the gui, or the pure text console version that looks like DOS?
Ryan
the units I'm working with are 20000 frames on both of them. System specs are a 1.8Ghz AMD and a 2.4Ghz P4. Think I downloaded the version with gui. Doesn't look like DOS. Been so long since I worked in DOS though. I get to watch nice green, red, and grey balls is all I know
Can I force this thing to upload when it is done, or will it try again after a specified time?
My PC is offline when I'm not on it, and it finished it's first WU. There's a message in the bottom corner that says "Could not get work instructions" (The 'PACKAGE' is at 100%)
UPDATE RE: My Last...
In the middle of posting that, I got a small popup message:
"Ready to connect to network" with an OKAY button.
Messages that followed -
1) Attempting to send results.
2) Ready to connect to network (with OKAY button) Such a polite little program...
I must be getting some really big WU's cause both of mine are at just over 50% now. This computer is running 24/7 and the other faster computer is running about 8 hrs a day
I leave mine on continually. I wonder what to do when I run maintenance...
I remember when DOS was fun, you could consider yourself a "POCKET ROCKET SCIENTIST" if you knew how to do anything with it well...
Just NEVER type FORMAT:C/U unless you absolutely meant it!!!
