Its not that I'm mad, its more a matter of pride. Sort of like your name, no one likes their name misspelled (or mis-punctuated). If you've ever read the classic Carnigie book he makes note that the most important word in a person's life is their name. The way someone else spells their family name isn't a big deal to you, but I bet its important to them! Same goes with FTE and having our name attached to this project.
the irony is/was that people were worried about a domain name, when the real issue is the cure for cancer. we won't cure it by this team, domain, or wishes, but we contribute as a team.
if i was handed a $10,000,000 check with my name spelled wrong i would care less. if it went to keeping kids, teens, or adults alive, the small issue of a punctuation issue compared to the goal of the folding would be .... bottom.
i worry about priorities. not mine, but whether or not we need to worry about a domain name. the link works. it's cancer we are trying to fix, not a speedometer, and quite honestly, by this, we aren't selling ads. as a team we are helping cancer research. i beg the powers that be allow a small mistake and that you consider the BIG picture
Well put Carl.
I have mine running on one now should be finished tonight, already did a couple. But I am sure my slow old computer is gonna look sick compared to some of the stuff you guys are running.
But on that I have a question for you computer guru's, I talked to another person on here, and got her to do this too, but she has a dual processor unit, and from what I can tell it's only running on one of them so the question is there a way to make it use both to speed the machine up?
you'd have to trick the computer into running two threads so they don't recognize one another. I used to do that with Prime95 when doing overclock stress testing, but forgot how to rename the program's name. I'd really like to know how to get a second thread going on my machine.

sweet another one! As for the whole name thing I don't want to look like a jerk here but I am not doing this for recognition of any particular site. I am doing it because my father died from cancer almost 12 years ago and to tell you the truth I haven't really done aything to help find a cure for the disease that took him from me. I feel this is my opportunity to do something to help find that cure. Whether it be for this site, another site, or on my own I am going to continue to do it. If the moderators, administrators or anybody has a problem with the name I say tough it out, the name of our team is correct at the top of the page and the link posted brings you to this site. Stop caring about the small things and start caring about the big thing which is " A CURE FOR CANCER"

since the name is attached to the product is there any way you guys can help us out in promoting it?
team or no team, domain name or not, as taisa said, i'm going to do the folding. fighting irish(ryan) turned us on to this and for that i'm forever grateful. it's a personal issue for my memory of Nancy now. the mis-spelling is a flea on a ticks ass at this point.
those of you that are in the "fold" God bless. those that complain about a misplaced " - " remember those of us that have had a loss yet support this forum. i love it here, but have no problem knowing that Cancer cure is more important.

Hey, this is a good idea. Is there any way you can make this a site announcement Ken? I know you're busy and I'm not sure how much work it involves to make one of those announcements, so we'll understand if you can't.
Also, I'd like to know if anyone can figure out how to run more than one copy of the program on a single computer. I have a dual core unit and I think It would do pretty well with two instances running.
