I don't think there is any difference per say on the slicks. As I have a 66 1 Ton and a 62 UNI and I think thy would interchange. Someone will be along to correct me If I am wrong.

correction to artic y bock.

2x4 65-66 inner fenders are different from all other 61-66 fenders.

If you have twin I-beam suspension, then you need 65-66 fenders. If you have a 4x4, which still had straight axem in 65-66, then you can use earlier inner fenders from 61-44.

The earlier fenders can be modified to WORK, but I would try and get a correct set first. Ditto core support, if that's trashed as well.

Yes, there is a difference that seems to only apply to the 66 trucks. The 66 2X4's have squared off inner fenders while the 4X4's have rounded ones identical to previous years. This is why it's so hard to find the 66 2X4 inner fender/radiator supports and the 4X4 parts are readily available.

According to interchange book, 65 made different rad support for the 2X4 and 4X4. The 65 4X4 F100 and 66 4X4 F250 should be same. Indicates the 65 2X4 F100 and the 66 4X4 F100 are interchangeable. The 66 2X4 is unique. I have (2) 65 F100 2X4 and each had different type of supports and inner fenders. During infancy stage of parts scavenging, purchased replacement radiator support and found original inner fenders, rounded type, would not fit the 'square type' rad support so had to return to donor truck took rad support from and removed inner fender. Still required some minor modification. Issue will be getting front end sheet metal alignment; fenders, cab, doors, etc. If locate donor truck, may have to remove both support and inner fenders if find they do not match the original style rad support.

The drivers side inner fender on a 66 F100 4x4 is cut differant than the 2wd, it has a place for the steering colunm to hook to the steering box. I have fond that the 2wd will not fit the 4x4 without some work, but I do believe that the 4x4 inner fender will work on the 2wd. The passenger side is the same. I did use a 65 2wd radiator core support on my 66 F-100 4x4 for awhile, but had to do some mods to the mounting on the drivers side. My 66 F-100 4x4 has been rebodied 2 times in the 27 years that I have had her.

In mentioning 'rounded' vs 'square' type inner fender am referring to where the inner fender mounts to rad support. Would assume trying to mount 'rounded' inner fender to 'squared' type rad support may be problematic. Used 66 rad and inner fenders on 65 and getting the sheet metal aligned became labor intensive. At same time went with power steering upgrade and if recall did have to shave sheet metal for the steering box. Still have original rad support and inner fenders. Should have left well enough alone. Wanted to go to larger radiator and got the notion it would require going to different rad support making reassembly more of a project.

The inner fenders list in the LMC cat. are for a 61-64, not a 66! The 66 2X4 had squared off inner fenders, not rounded, so these will not work.
