It tows like a dream, runs along the highway just great.....
I actually went and moved a big fiver today and was surprised at how easy it moved it and did not set the truck down very much but I will say I would never try it for very far ( 27ft only for about 1/2 mile or less and slow)

I hear that, I went and built a trailer out of an F-250 so my family could use that instead of my truck. The thing dwarfs the 97 taurus and 98 blazer they use to tow it.

Just got my new to me 06 F-250 PSD about a month ago and have not towed with it yet but we have a Fifth wheel. Spray in bed liner going in next weekend and then getting the hitch put in. Since we used to tow the fiver with a F-150 I can't wait to hook it up to this truck. No longer a **** ant pulling an elephant.

In some states you are allowed to pull "doubles" like that. You need to have a Class A license with Double/Triple endorsements. You also have length restrictions. These trailers are empty though. I could tow them loaded, but the hitch would have to be beefed up a little on the front trailer to handle the extra weight from the second trailer.
Thanks, Dad bought it new in 79 and then we restored it in 2002-2003. 20+ years of driving up and down the highway and on the farm took it's toll on the truck.
Thanks again. The trailers are new. We (my parent's trailer sales business) we some major sponsors of a high school rodeo finals and we had some trailers down there for display.
Here's a couple more "double shots" for you guys. No Fords, but I think they turned out pretty cool.

This is NOT mine, but we saw it last week in a campground. First time I've seen a Scamp set up as a gooseneck kind of affair. I didn't get to see the tow vehicle but would have liked to see the hitch setup.
Cute as a button anyway. And, you could probably tow something like this with a Chevy or even a Dodge. Maybe.

THEN .... circa 1979
The truck is a 1978 F250HD 400-4V 4spd 4.10 ... from this truck on the seed company
I worked for had me buying 460's and 454's. The combine is an EIII AC Gleaner
we'd just purchased and were dropping off at our dealer. Later we did all the repairs
and mods ourselves. Later machines were K's that we modified the hell out of, added
three row corn heads, special cabs and lots of electronics. IIRC they weighed
in ~13,700#. As an earlier poster observed ... a MAJOR league wind anchor load.
NOW ..... from one of our last trips up to Lake Superior.
Just LOVE those old Ford trucks.
