Electric heater vs. conventional heater for 51 F-1

My 51 Ford F-1 is missing the whole heater system and I can't find a replacement that will work. I have 2 questions:

1.)Has anyone tested a 12V electric heater instead of a conventional water heater ? JC Whitney has one listed and the measuremetns are approx 6"X4"X3" and puts out heat instantly.

2.)What kind of vehicle has a similar heater system such as Core, Blower-Box, etc.. that I could find in a junk yard ?

Thanks in advance !

Forget the electrical heater. Your electrical system cannot support that. Companys that sell restoration parts sell heaters but they will be expensive. What you are looking for is a universal hang on heater. They are used on lots of things besides autos, such as cabs on construction equipment. Check the auto parts stores and mail order houses. In fact JC Whitney used to sell them. You do not state your voltage but a 12V fan will run on 6V, just slower.
