How much would it cost and where could one get a "crate" 4.6 engine?

 

I did a check of two vendor sources.
They run in the areas of 2350 to 2500.
In your browser bar, type in Ford 4.6 crate engines and chack out what comes up on the pages.
You would pick one that is relitively close to you and one that builds using the most new parts etc.

You can get a low mileage used one with a warranty for way less money.
