betontheturtle,

Can't say about the Mag's, but the PML pans fit with no problems, save you a lot of money and get you the same amount of cooling performance in fluid temp drop!! If you have any questions on them please call us.

I just put the PML pan on my X TS. Easy to do and appears to be a high quality very well built pan with good hardware. The price was good for the pan quality. Has internal supports for the filter and a place to install a temp probe. The copper seal for the drain plug leaves something to be desired. Recommend a better seal there as my copper seal is weeping fliud onto the pan. With it being an aluminum pan, the magnet does not stick so I just laid it in the drain plug cavity.

have to update this called Mag hytech and was informed that there is some issues with the tranny crossmember but only on the Excursion because of the apparent Male appendage that is included on it and that the cross member bolt hole are slotted and can be moved rearward to account for this, kinda like scootchin the boys around in you fruit of the looms.

I don't have any of those larger capacity pans. I talked to BTS and they preferred I went with the 6.0 Cooler.

I just installed mine and there are no issues...pictures are in my gallery. the only thing is that you have to remove the trans crossmember to install the pan

Xhunter thanks for the info and gallery pics I had bought a mag hytech pan and was going to install it when torque converter went out figured it was a good time to have the tranny reworked, local shop added a trip clutch torque converter a 46000#tranny cooler, upgraded to a transgo shift kit, and asked them to put on the mag pan and fill with synthetic. when it came time for pick up they had left off the pan said it wouldn't fit because of the cross member, I think they just forgot it was in the back of the X and didn't want to muck with it. So now I'll crawl under and replace it myself give me a chance to check out the innards. I'm not as worried about cooling but the pan will add lots of ridgedity to the tranny and a drain plug and a spot for a tranny temp gauge. Thanks again

Your 4R100 Trans already has a port for a temperature sensor. See below.
