2001 F350 Super Duty Drivers Side Lean

I have an 2001 F350 Super Duty 4x4 ext. cab with the 7.3 PSD. I have a problem where the drivers side front is leaning down 3/4 of an inch lower than the pass. side. Everything seems to check out, and nothing appears broken. Anyone ever heard of a cheap and easy fix for this? Thanks, clego

Welcome to FTE clego. I've not heard of it. You are talking about the entire truck and not the seat right? May check the genereal 250-350 Superduty forum too. Yours is a diesel?

Few things come to mind and all of them are in the suspension.

Yes, the whole side of the truck, mostly the drivers side front more so than the rear, and it is a diesel.

There has been posts on it. Im getting ready to go to school, and i dont have time now but i will find the threads for you. Mine leans alot more to the left, one inch in the rear, and 1.25" in the front left side. They make shims up to 3/4", but i think i have a sprang sprung spring.

Could also be because the fuel tank is on the drivers side. All that extra weight over the years has probably made the springs sag a bit.

Your truck has a natural rake built into it. The back being higher than the front from the factory. Look at the back spring packs. Count every spring and double check to make sure that you do not have one busted. That would contribute to your lean. One other thing, if you havent had the truck from new the prev. owner may have made a quick fix up front by installing a heavier or weaker spring on one side.

I'm just trying to eliminate any other possibilities.

Or the prior owner was a fat ****.....lol Seen lots of cars with an angle to one side or the other caused by a large person in the seat but wouldn't think that it would affect a super duty...

mine also leans to the drivers side, about 3/4 inch. i had the front springs rearched an inch higher and it was still leaning but not as much. I needed to get my springs rearched because my tires were rubbin on my bumper.

Ford has a TSB for it. Check it out here, I cured mine using parts from their TSB:

This sounds like a great excuse to add a set of leveling springs.
For what they cost its worth it cuz it looks really cool level too!

Sorry to dredge this one up for a first post but im getting desperate.
Im currently trying to resolve the same issue. I have a 03 SD with a 7.3. I have a horrible lean towards the driver side of the truck. Measured at 1 1/2 inchesat the front left . I thought it was a sagging front spring so I replaced with a rough country leveling kit. The kit comes with new spring packs. Put the kit on and I still have the lean. I havent measured the rear yet.

Would a bad rear spring cause the front to sag as well?

I put a 3/8" spacer under my left rear spring per the TSB. The 3/8" spacer was the only one available at the time, but worked perfectly. Sits level at all 4 corners now.

I did the shim several years ago, but I do believe it was around 3/4" -1" in the front. Side to side all was even. The rear still set a little high, so I added add-a-leals springs to the front. It has just the right rake to it now and sits level with my 5ver on the bed hitch.
