hey dudes just bought a 1979 ford f-150 custom with a nine inch lift and 38x15.50's and was just wandering who all is in the nevada chapter and where are the meetings held. if you would please give me a holla.
Nice truck, I think we are gonna set up a once a month meet at a resturant with a wide veritey of food, and near the middle of town so no one really has to drive to, to far. Any suggestions of a good place, has to have lots of parking for the trucks, and food everyone can eat.
hey guys last week my truck shot a connecting rod through the side of the block so i sold it to a guy up in stead and took that money and bought a two wheel drive 1967 ford f100 manual its an awsome truck and only 127,000 miles nothing rebuilt though the guy i bought it from says the motor was worked on a little. further investigation proves different. he only replaced the spark plugs and wires and seriously messed the carb up but now it runs great, amazing what a carb kit can do to a fourty year old carb.
Hey General Lee, wecome to the chapters. I float between the Northern California and Nevada Chapters as I live close to the CalNeva Border. I see you sold your truck in Stead. That tells me that you are in the Northern part of the Silver State.
There is supposed to be a few Nevada Chapter Memebers meeting i Carson City tomorrow (Saturday) for a kind of working meet at a local wrecking yard. You might be able to find some parts for that new F100. It will be a mix of Northern Cal and Nevada guys there, if there is a good showing. I will be there for sure, and I feel confident that there will in fact be a couple more. At least they have indicated such.
You are, of course, welcome to come out and see a couple of new faces if you can get away. Send me a PM if you think you can make it out, and I will fill you in on the details.
I know that most of the Las Vegas folks probably wont be able to come out due to the distance, but the invite is there none the less.
Happy New Year, Tim
