Taller, assuming they are a similar width. Taller tires that are much wider often add so much rolling resistance that it offsets any gain made by the height difference.
With the taller tires you may not notice the increase in fuel mileage, as one revolution now gain you an unspecified number of inches that distance adds up, as much as 1 tenth of a mile per mile depending on height increase, so for every 10 odometer miles you have traveled you have actually traveled 11 so increase your tire size lets say you were getting 20mpg for round numbers now you would indicate getting 19 but actually you are getting 20.9mpg (this is just a scenario) Something to think about, the speed may be negligible but mileage can add up
there are some online calculators that can help you with rpm/gear/tire information. I figured it that at 60mph if I move from my 285(30.6in) to 33in, I would drop a full 200 rpm.
just don't put super wide tires on it like bkcowboss said
I put on a set of 245/75/r16 and i think there just right. about the same height as my 235s but ther a little more stable cause of the little extra width. They handle great. And it feels like they roll easier than my 235s.
