Question high idle

Hello, new at this, anyway just noticed after driving 300 miles stoped and let the truck idle for about 20 minutes.During that time the idle was going to high idle as if I had just started it on a cold morning then it goes back down if u hit the brake or acc pedal. Is this common, never noticed it before or could it be a problem.
