Overhead Console

I have a 1987 F-150 XLT Larriet and I would like to put an overhead console fome something like an Explorer with temp and compass.
Has anyone done this modification and how did you mount it?
What sensor'swould I need to get temp and compass to work.
Thanks ZZ

It would probably be easier to do a rear view mirror with temp/comp in it.

However, you would just have to screw it up to the roof. You may need to build a support frame so you don't have drill into the sheetmetal. Best thing to do is pick one that looks easy enough to mount and looks good in your truck, and then figure out what you will have to build to mount it.

alxsnmr is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Look for an overhead console from the late model broncos.
