Serial Number Plate on a 56 F100

For a 1956, you should be able to find the serial number (or VIN) in two places:
1. On a metal tag riveted to the cab between the two hinges on the driver side door.
2. Stamped on the top of the right side frame rail between the cab and the front axle as 286merc indicated.

C = cab forward
F = standard
P = parcel delivery

60 = 600 series
70 = 700 series
75 = 750 series
