another day of everything going wrong.

I hooked the Excursion up to the enclosed utility trailer (dual axle) full of tools for carpentry today, then got 1 mile down the road and got nails in two of the trailer tires. Pulled over, jacked the trailer, pulled the tires, dropped the trailer, took them and got them fixed, and reversed the process to get back on the road again.

Later, it is time to gt the 8 year old from school. Decide to take the wolf/Husky mix with me. Bad Mistake. BIG DOG!! Very skittish. I put him in the far back where he usually goes. On the way there in traffic doing @45mph, suddenly feel a BANG and the trailer is starting to fishtail. It had come off the ball. About the time that I realize this, there is a 90lb+ wolf trying to crawl into my lap and hug me, whining and whimpering!! (yeah, they give big bear hugs complete with the head around the neck.) So here I am trying to slow down real slow while operating the Prodigy brake controller and I can't see anything, let alone breath, while the dog is shaking and has his head stuck out the drivers side window which was down a few inches. All while I weave back and forth in my lane, and I'm cussing to beat the band.

Just about when I get the rig to the side, a local cop pulls up along side me, stops his unit, gets out and proceeds to take pictures, laughing his head off!

Well, the cop moves his unit behind me, and I meet him at my door, with him still chuckling. He waits as I lift the tongue with a jack and resecure the rig. He issues me a warning, and as he heads back to his unit takes one more picture and says to me, grinning like a chesire cat; 'Try to be a little calmer next time and you won't lose your bladder.' I look down and it was then that I realized the dog had pissed all over my lap.

What a day. Bedtime can't come early enough.......

I would be interested to hear the dog's version of that story. "You won't believe what My dumb human did today. I was barely able to save him. And he peed all over me."

If you check over on dogsRus.com, the dog has
already told a different version of this same story.

Just look at the bright side - the only direction your day could go is UP!

I 'm sure the Dog has better explanation for what he did! He would probably blame it on you!

The odd thing is, when I started the thread, I didn't think it was funny. I was still pissed off. Took me a day to start laughing about it.

I should have named the dog 'Leaker'

That is funny- I'm picturing it right now....

But that's why it's important to have safety chains connected properly. Glad to know you did.
