I dented two rims this morning...

I am going to go to the town on Wednesday to find out what they have to say. I've heard stories before about people getting reimbursed for damage caused by potholes. Hopefully I can get something from them.
I won/bought a set of Lincoln Navigator wheels on Ebay for $440.00 including shipping. I was going to check a few junk yards locally but I just don't have the time. Plus the drivers side rims are starting to rust around the edges. I figured I mine as well replace all four with some nicer rims.
I haven't been driving the truck since it happened because I am afraid of the tires blowing out. The edge of the rim is pushed in almost three inches. I still can't believe the tires didn't blow out. Hopefully the new rims will come in soon.

The new to me Lincoln Navigator wheels came in today. They are in great shape. I mounted the tires but now I have a few questions.
The "stud" holes are larger on the new wheels. When I put them on there is a lot of play around the studs and the holes in the wheels. So I started the lug nuts. Then centered the studs in the wheel opening. Then I tightened the lug nuts down. Does that sound ok or do I have to replace all the studs with larger diameter ones? If I do have to replace them does that mean I will have to drill out the holes in the rotors so they will clear the larger studs?
My second problem is that the Lincoln center caps don't fit onto the Ford lug nuts. What kinds of lug nuts do I need for the caps to fit properly?

I have read enough post to realize that 14mm wheels on 12mm studs is not a problem since the wheels are hubcentric. I also had some help from wgotthardt in another post about the center caps. I am now bidding on a set that should work with my new wheels and 12mm studs/lugs.
I thought I should add to this post that not only did that impact dent two rims but it also damaged the inner tie rod on the passenger side. Once I got the new wheels installed I could feel side to side play in the front passenger side wheel. The play is in the inner tie rod end. How lucky am I!!!
Note to self, "avoid pot holes at all cost!"
