Peak HP 511/ Peak Torque 532

The link you may have to copy and paste it. I think the FTE does somthing to it. Other wise go to our web site, video page and his video is at the bottom of the page.

http://www.tmeyerinc.com/videopage.html

I think you can select the video this way.

Peak HP 511 and Peak Torque 532. This is with the 1-3/4" circle track headers.

Great job! Too close to Christmas, I know what's on next years wish list!

Tim can you show the graph with both headers? I would like to see the difference in where it peaks at. Thanks, Dave

Now I have to get it home and into the truck. Just in time for the bad weather, when I can't drive it. It will be a lot of fun when I can drive it.

I will try to do that Dave, I will look into it on Monday. When we installed the headers, we did not change anything. First couple of pulls did nothing. But we did bump up the timing 2º to get the extra HP.

I am not sure if it would be worth the larger tubes. I would choose the tubes based on the normal driving style. Dynoing to get peak power is one thing but selecting the parts for the normal dring habit is another.

The carb for example we used was a 775 Demon. we pulled almost #1 of Vac. A larger carb will give more of a peak, but chances are the average would fall and it would not be as responsive.

Craig, you better hold on getting the 1-3/4 headers and ponder your decision.

I have a set of 1 3/4" Sanderson headers that I will use on this motor. These were made for 4V Clevelands in a '53 thru '56 F100.

Tim,

What was the total timing on the last pull?

So 351C headers can be used on a 400? I may have to do this in my 88 tbird.

My heads are CHI-3V heads. The ports are raised to the 4V port height. Headers made for a 400 or 2V heads will be in a lower position. Headers made for a 4V C will be high on a 2V head, but maybe redrilling the bolt holes would work.

I don't want to hijack. 2v headers sit lower than 4v headers, then right? Does Sanderson shorten the tubes on a 2v to compensate? Sandersons, for the most part, hug the block, don't they?, what tranny are you using? clearance issues there? Sorry, hijack over. I've been following this build for quite some time. I love it. To all the naysayers about the 351M/400 being a boat anchor, I love to prove them wrong. You guys are truly putting the 400 into greatness. Rock on.
