Red face Time To Break Out The Long Johns...

Well, I think the cold weather is finally REALLY here. Supposed to be in the negatives all this week. Now to go find my long johns. Man, it is going to be cold up in those trees!

I hope it snows so that I get to sit in a plow truck all night.

Poor Ontario Folks....

As you well know, this time last week the temps in Saskatchewan were around MINUS 40 C.
I had the good fortune to be born out there and, until I was kidnapped by my parents, lived there long enough to understand real cold.
Ya, ya, it's a dry cold. Minus 40 WILL freeze you quick. So quick in fact that children's survival instincts show at a very early age.
Naturally a prairie child's first word is "Mama". The next 2 are "Frost Bite".
So, bask in the balmy weather of Ontario and remember the prairie people.
AL.
P.S. ... Anybody know the proper way to lassoo a gopher? (gopher = prairie squirrel) ....................

California Dreamin' ...

We've got some chill going on. So much so that I almost considered wearing my winter coat. Almost. Maybe tomorrow.

It's actually warmed up a bit here. Least it feels that way. But now since it's warmed up the snow is falling again!

Not Quite Cold Enough.....

To actually freeze the ***** off a brass monkey.
Now, does anybody know what that really means?
AL.
Hint .... Iron vs. brass.
