Does anyone have a source for parts for the larger trucks? I know the cab is the same as the small trucks, but I would like to find fenders in better shape than the ones I currently have. I am in Michigan. Thanks.

enduringexplorer,

Joblot Automotive (www.joblotauto.com) in New York has a pretty good selection of parts for Ford trucks bigger than the F1/F100. I haven't run across anybody who carries more stuff in stock for the big guys than they do. They have a reasonable catalog and I get good service and prices when I order parts for my F-250. Give them a call and ask for James.

George

George, thanks for the info. Carl, the engine was replaced with a later model HD truck engine, believed to be a 332. It still has the original 5 speed trans with hand brake assembly attached to the tailshaft. Truckzilla, thanks, but the fenders I have are actually pretty good. I would be interested in finding a rust free pair that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Mine have a little rust on the bottom of the dog leg and around the headlight, but otherwise are solid. For $2-300 I would replace them, but they are repairable. I am going to try looking around Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana this summer when I take a vacation. I will report any good sources I run into.

For your inforfation the F600 fenders are different. What you need is F700 thru F800fenders. Your fenders are wider with a larger wheel opening, I know of a T700 That I got a hood off of with the optional hood scoop, I cant remember what conditon they were in if you are interested I could check them out later this year.
