Power chips

Where would be a good place to get a chip for my 02 HD. As far as I know all that has been done is a lower pullie that I had installed. I have been in SWA (South west Asia) afghanistain since I bought the truck used and had not had much chance to see what the previous owner has had done to the truck.

With increased boost, it would be a good idea to have a custom chip made. Find a tuner that can get your truck on the dyno and get the fuel and timing curves right so you don't blow the engine.

the best all around case is finding a custom tuner near your home.

go into www.sctflash.com type in your zip code and search for say 50 miles around your home area. contact them for a custom tuned excalibrator 2 done to your needs.

i think you will find this works the best as most of the other tuner companies tune for where their shop is and load a best all around tune. which say you live in CO. at 5000 feet it will not work as well as it did a sea level.

good luck and thank you for your service to this wonderfull country.

You can also talk to Bob at jusnesmodified, he sells the bama programer that alot of us use. Bob is a site sponser here. Or you can get a hold of Doug directly at www.bama chips.com. Doug is a ford guru and only does ford programs. All of us who use bama will swear by it, I think he can help you, he also does custom tunes.

The Diablo Sport Predator is a good unit . the SCT/Flash programer is an upgrade as it has more features than the Diablo Sport. (I use the Diablo on my 02 lightning) my tuner is a SCT dealer but has no problems tuning my truck on his dyno and using the Diablo. hope this helps. Remember it is more important to dynatune your HD than to just bolt on mod's. do the mod's then tune.
