Does any one know if a long bed can fit on the same truck that came with a short bed . I am hopeing to do this installation without a huge ammount of effort. Thanks for your help in advance, This is my first truck restoration. Regards, Colin

hi,
the long bed usually comes from a longer wheelbased truck so the rear fenders are a bit further down and the other thing is that the chassis(frame) will be too short to mount the bed-the rear bed crossmember would go beyond the frame.

hope this helps.
