I think that we are just now figuring out how alot of the gismos of the flying sauser that found in new mexico back in the 1951.....Think about it, this exsplains all this new stuff we have now.......
Or those innovations followed the steady march of technological and scientific progress forward driven by a country that had confidence in the future and business/innovation friendly economy. I'll put my money on this as well as my hope for the future.
But you're right, it could have been the aliens. Deus ex machina always worked for Shakespeare. Let me know how that works out for you.

No single raindrop feels that it is responsible for the flood.
It could be very hard to understand alien technology if it's sufficiently advanced. Imagine you're a Viking and someone gives you a small-block Ford, a can of gas and a charged battery. What are you going to learn from it? Give the same engine to an engineer in the 1700s and the pickup truck might have been invented a century sooner.
Nope, again natural progressions, if we got a chip off an alien vehicle it would be a different architecture and not compatible in the slightest with "human" code. Also it would have been a hell of a lot better then a P2.
Do black helicopters fly over a lot where you are from? Are there strange lights in the sky at night? Are the stores always out of Reynolds Wrap???

I agree with what you said Torque, though I'd dispute it being "natural". Nature had little to do with it besides providing the silicon and human beings that could think to use it.
Whether it is a self-fulfilling prophecy or not, microprocessor development has followed Moore's Law quite well, and any large jump due to alien technology infusion would be quite noticeable.
I don't think it is worth debating whether every invention or scientific discovery since 1947 came from aliens or not. I also say that if we do ever find aliens, and the best processor device they've got is a Pentium II, we'd better question how they got here.

I dont want to make a polictial statement but I think the orgins of some of our technology is being kept secret,,,,,,,can only make one wonder about it.......People far smarter than me have been asking the same thing, too many questions are being avoided,,,,,,,
Origins of some technology IS concealed. Classified for military reasons and not because it came from space aliens. Although some may have come from the Russians, or the French, now those are REAL ALIENS. Nothing technological I have seen on this planet is out of the ordinary.
