Abe,
I might. Will depend on which truck is ready for the trip.
Abe, since retirement you and the wife should make a trip to Portsmouth.

I talked to her about us taking a vacation there..... maybe getting there early in the week, having time to ourselves and then having a good time when the FTE'ers get there. But it is a weekend that we might have some family conflicts...

I really would like to see a pic of it! I can honestly say its the reason I became fascinated with correct restorations. I can remember going to the page all the time and would wait for updates. Funny how time flies! -4speed

Hi guys. I wanted to let you know that my father, George, passed away on Monday morning, September 12th, from kidney failure. I don't know how many of the old-timers are still kicking around this board, but I wanted to let you know that working on Earl and corresponding with you, both to give and receive help, was a real bright spot in his life. It made him incredibly happy to be part of this community and to help others with projects in any way he could.

I still remember the day we bought Earl and all of the insanity that followed (taking literally every rivet out to repair the frame...). I hope you're all doing well and thank you for being part of his life. I just wanted to provide a coda to this thread.

I haven't been on the forum much, but I remember your Dad, and I remember the Truck. I am sorry for your loss. I hope you cherish the memories of working on that old truck with him. I know I cherish the memories of things like that with my dad. I am currently working on a project 66 with my daughter. She says she will drive it to school when she is 16.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for letting us know. Your Dad was a valued member of FTE. He had a knack of sharing informative well written posts with humor. This includes the name he picked for his truck to his icon of the office worker.

Your dad was, and still continues to be, an inspiration for many. We are so sorry for your loss. But know his memory, work, and help for us will be remembered forever.
