Rough shift in OD

Rough shift in OD
I have a 2001 F150 with the 5.4 and an auto tranny. When shifting through gears it seams fine most of the time, but when shifting into and out of OD there seams to be a Clunk. I'm not sure if is when it comes out of lockup or if it is when shifting in and out of OD. It also shifts into 2cd fairly early and seams to want to be in second even at low speeds and at rolling stops it stays in second unless you get on it. I have recently had the tranny serviced and it seams to be the same before and after the service. The truck has 70,000 miles on it and it has never towed much weight.
I would appreciate any help

My tranny does the same thing into overdrive... but its only after i let off... if the truck shifts into od while im under any acceleration at all its smooth and perfict. but if i step on it and pass sombody and then let off to get back to normal speed it clunks pretty darn hard into od... any suggestions?

Be carefull, mine was doing that and then the hard shifting became clunking and slipping. Only in and out of Overdrive, I had to get the tranny rebuilt. The tranny had 100,000 miles on it, so not too bad, but I bet if I would have turned overdrive off when towing, as I do now, before, it would still be on the original tranny. Oh well
