Boxing day sales - Where do they advertize?

I'm planning on buying a new TV around the holidays, and I figure that Boxing day is my best bet. Only problem is that since I don't get either paper delivered, I don't know how to find the adverts for the various electronic retailers.
Also, any hints on good places to try, aside from the regular BestBuy, Future Shop, A&B.

If anyone is interested, I'm looking at one of hese two TVs:

Probably the TH42PX60U, since it's about five hundred bucks cheaper most places.

Be patient, these boxing day sales tend to stick around until the end of January anyways, you have plenty of time to find the one you like. Good luck with the hunt!

BTW...I found A&B sound and soundsaround have the better quality products to the modest budget, although, they do tend to have more of the annoying salesmen looking for their next commish.

The good news (for me) is that I'm going to be going in knowing exactly what model I want, and I can be even more annoying than those salesmen when I want to be.

If I can get the 42px600U for the price I want, I'll take that one, but I'm guessing the discounts won't be quite as deep since that's a higher-end TV.

Either way it'll be a heck of a lot better than the 27" curved screen CRT that I use right now.

Any of you guys get HDTV from Shaw? From what I can tell on the web page, you can't really bundle HDTV with the internet, which is what I would want to do.

Thanks for the help.

For Satellite TV (HDTV) I get Star Choice which is owned by Shaw.
I have the essentials package.

Cable TV and Shaw cable internet was costing me $89.00+/month

I cancelled the TV part and got Star Choice ( 400+ channels)

Now I have High speed Cable Internet - $42.00/Month

Star Choice TV - $46.99 + Tax /month

$88.00 plus I get East and West network coverage.

Check into it.

I would go to either A & B Sound or London Drugs (Heritage Hill) for your TV

BTW,the retail market is now Boxing Week ..not Boxing day.

all the good companies have a web site to view their flyers.

Call "The Flyer Force" (see phone book) and they will deliver Flyers to your door on Thursdays.

Then just Cancel their delivery after the new year.

I'd say grab a Sun from the gas station on Christmas eve - lots of sales show up in there, and another one first thing Boxing Day.

Boxing week sale can fliers show up 2 weeks before Christmas.
I have mine already.

to wait until Christmas eve might be too late.

The Brick, Best Buy, Future Shop are already advertising Boxing week "Televisions" sale prices on TV for 3 days now.

"The Flier Force" gets you all of them delivered to your home and for free.

OK, I did end up buying the TV, and I went to Best Buy. They had some kind of unadvertised combo deal to get a home theatre system with it.

The Panasonic TH42PX60
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926HDS0010 072625&catid=23249
and the Panasonic SCHT744S home theatre system
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10 072799&catid=20311

"list" price of $2499 and $599. I got the combo for $2199 plus tax.

I feel pretty good about it, and I LOVE the TV. I don't yet have HDTV from our local Cable provider (Shaw) so I can't speak to that, but regular old TV looks pretty nice, and DVDs look fantastic. I may wait until it's time for Hockey playoffs to upgrade to the HD signal. One of the reasons I went with this TV is how well it handles SD content. Much better than some cheaper units.

I actually bought all of this on Christmas Eve once I had a chance to read the Boxing Day flyers. I'm very glad I didn't have to brave the crowds.

I knew it.

Why not consider switching to Star Choice (Shaw Satellite) and get all the same channels and more.... with 16-20 HDTV channels with options for PPV Hockey games for Flames,Canucks,Oiler,Senators ($10.00 each).
They just added a few more a couple days ago.

I get tons of sports from all over the place with Western Canadian Junior hockey Broncos,Hitmen,Rebels,Ice,etc

for USA networks:
I chose Seattle over Spokane because I got tired of Krem, Kxly, etc

I chose Detroit over Buffalo...for obvious reasons.

I have the Essentials package.
I dropped the shaw cable but kept the internet and save $8.00 from the tier-3 shaw cable/shaw internet package.

Right now they have an enormous deal for the satellite decoder.

Check it out
