has anybody put the newer model telescoping mirrows (1999 and newer) on this year truck I was just wondering before i put the time and money into doing it myself.

I don't see how that would work. They are designed to mount at the front of the window. These trucks have them mounted to the door skin. I don't think I would fool with it. It would be too big of a job to make it work right. I also think it would look completely out of place. There might be an aftermarket mirror that would be better for towing.
